There are so few options for women in the action genre! It’s darn annoying. Can’t a girl watch an incredibly cool movie in which a bunch of things explode and a lot of people die…WITHOUT sitting through a bunch of scenes that represent women as objects? The problem is that these action movies are mostly geared towards men. Of course they want to see the naked ladies, the sultry vixens, the women who need protection. I want a strong female assassin who’s not just eye candy and who doesn’t fit the clichés and stereotypes!!! If you were a woman, and you were going to start this crazy gun battle, would you really wear high heels and a skirt? Really?! Come ON, Hollywood! Man up. Challenge yourselves.
